Amy Margolis - Managing Partner

Amy is a founding and managing partner of Stanton Advisors. For over 35 years, Amy has worked in key roles in Human Resources and Recruiting within the Financial Services Industry; first at Merrill Lynch and then running her own consulting practice. While at Merrill Lynch, Amy spearheaded the Human Resources Consulting Talent Practice in the Prime Brokerage Division. At the time, this practice was the first of its kind to provide Human Resource recruiting and advisory services to the firm’s hedge fund clients. In addition to the build out of this practice, Amy worked closely on senior management and board level projects including leadership development, talent strategies and performance measurement.

Amy spent the next four years running her own business consisting of HR consulting, recruiting and executive and career coaching. Her first client was Credit Suisse, where she helped enhance their Human Resource Consulting Talent Practice within Prime Brokerage. After her project at Credit Suisse, Amy spent almost two years at Options Group (a global executive recruiting firm focusing in financial services) as an advisor focused heavily on recruiting both investment and non-investment professionals for hedge funds and a few select investment banking clients as well spearheaded the creation of HR squared (an HR consulting practice).

Amy’s career began at Merrill Lynch where she worked for 29 years as a Human Resource leader in the Institutional Capital Markets Group – serving many different functions and roles, ending as a senior Managing Director within Human Resources.

Abby Klug - Partner

Abby is currently a founding partner at Stanton Advisors, bringing over 9 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before starting Stanton, Abby spent over five years at Options Group, a global executive search firm, as a lead recruiter in their alternative investment space - concentrating on placing both front and back office professionals into hedge funds globally. Her first several years with Options Group were spent recruiting in the London, UK office throughout Europe and Asia. She then transferred to their global headquarters in New York where she recruited globally. Abby has spent her recruiting career placing qualified professionals into hedge funds across various roles and strategies. She has recently placed people into the following roles: investment analyst, execution trader, head of trading, portfolio manager, head of research, COO/CFOs, risk analysts, and strategies: long/short equity and credit, event driven, global and emerging market macro, fixed income macro, systematic macro and trend-following strategies.

Prior to Options Group, Abby spent two years at NW Financial, a boutique investment bank in New Jersey, as a financial analyst associate. Her work consisted of financial advisory and bond underwriting deals for New Jersey and New York municipalities focusing mainly on debt restructurings and cash flow analysis.

Abby graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Business Administration.
